| The Suede and Espresso Mugs |
Please expect a flurry of posts as thoughts begin to level out. Soon, a happy equilibrium will be reached and prolific, pointless, posting will cease. Do not fret.
Why mugs, you ask? Quite simply, they are beautiful.
The task to find the most fitting sort of China was a real struggle. The initial aim was to find everyday stuff that was not stoneware. The wisdom of our mothers suggests that stoneware chips and wears out its welcome quite hastily. Not what I want!
Over and over, I paced through the stores only to find China that did note suit my tastes - whatever those might be. Expressing my psychological concerns about stoneware to the knowledgeable sales attendant helped me to dare to look at this type of eating ware.
While still heeding the voices of my mother and grandmother, I boldly took a step forward, took the registering gun in hand and pointed towards the eating ware you see before you now. I have not looked back.
It continues to serve me well, and seems to dry quite quickly considering I hand-wash everything. Some might say I don't have a dishwasher; however, I say that I hand-wash it all.
